Alderman Visser
Alderman Visser from Son en Breugel is delighted with the arrival of the company in Ekkersrijt:”The Rhenus outlet signifies a substantial expansion in the number of jobs at Ekkersrijt. We are very happy that this type of redevelopment is taking place on the existing industrial estate. In terms of quality, appearance and sustainability, the planned building fits in with the ambitions that the municipality of Son en Breugel has for Ekkersrijt.”
Redevelopment Betonson
The owner of Betonson, Van Nieuwpoort BV, is working on moving some of its production capacity from Son to the location in Kampen. Betonson’s need for space is therefore reduced from the current 27 hectares to around 7 hectares. The site will be redeveloped in phases by project developer Heembouw, on behalf of Van Nieuwpoort. Previously, Bouwmaat also announced that it would be locating to the site. The Rhenus premises, covering 8 hectares, will utilise a large part of the available area.
